Join the Mythopoeic Society
The Mythopoeic Society is a non-profit international literary and educational organization for the study, discussion, and
enjoyment of fantastic and mythic literature, especially the works of Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, and Charles Williams. The word
“mythopoeic” (myth-oh-PAY-ik or myth-oh-PEE-ic), meaning “mythmaking” or “productive of myth,”
aptly describes much of the fictional work of the three authors who were also prominent members of an informal Oxford literary
circle (1930s-1950s) known as the Inklings.Membership Options
