There and Back Again
Mythcon 46 will be held at the Hotel Eleganté Event and Conference Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado, about 70 miles south of Denver. Denver International Airport is some 25 miles east of Denver proper and 90 miles from the Hotel Eleganté in Colorado Springs, so ground transport is required. There is a smaller airport at Colorado Springs which is served by a limited number of airlines including Alaska, American, Delta, and United; the Hotel Elegante offers free shuttle service to and from the Colorado Springs airport so even if the cost of flying in and out of Colorado Springs is $100 more than Denver, it's ultimately cheaper.
Since Colorado Springs is situated in such a beautiful part of the American west, you may well want to plan a longer vacation around Mythcon this summer; we have arranged for our special room rate at the Hotel Eleganté to be honored both before and after the conference.
PLEASE remember to book the hotel through us! We've got the best rate and that's the way Mythcon gets credited with room nights and room nights are the way we get the conference space.
The The Colorado Springs Greyhound station is served by the Amtrak Thruway bus service via the California Zephyr, one of the most beautiful train trips in all of North America.
Of course, you can always drive and then you can easily visit Garden of the Gods, rated the #1 Park in America on TripAdvisor in 2014.
Colorado Springs' Visitors' Guide has a lot of good information in it; their pages on Garden of the Gods and Pike's Peak, among others.
